inkythe first is not daedalus, right?00:29
Smatkovi@inky yes it says chimaera07:46
Smatkovii think this one should be daedalus https://maedevu.maemo.org/images/pinephone/20250511/07:46
arno11inky: both img's are chimaera08:37
arno11img name starting by 'maemo-leste-1.0' is chimaera actually08:41
arno11'maemo-leste-5.0' is daedalus08:41
inkythank you!12:17
kivahah..Maemo Leste with Jib browser is better than latest iOS with Safari when using web.libera.chat...with iOS connection lost if you use another app same time..iOS does not have real multitasking??? My friend tried another channel with it.15:01
kivaSadly friend not ready to switch to Maemo.15:02
dsc_of course it is better, I made it15:04
arno11:)15:04
arno11not a surprise @multitasking15:04
kivaJib is better than Firefox with web.libera.chat, touch screen scrolling back works at it should be.15:07
kivaI tested with Pinephone.15:08
kivaBut maybe better use real irc-client.15:08
dsc_one day we will use the Ladybird backend15:09
dsc_then it will be truly great15:09
dsc_need to wait >3 years for Ladybird to become production ready :)15:09
kivaSo long need for Jib.15:18
kivafeature that I miss for it is full-screen shortcut key.15:28
dsc_full-screen crashes/freezes, albeit I dont know if that was fixed in our latest daeadelus15:31
kivaAbout in menu does not do anything in Pinephone.15:41
dsc_thanks15:48
dsc_will fix15:49
inkyof course ios is worst ever made mobile os.15:57
inkys40 was better. symbian was better.15:57
inkyyes when you 'send the app to background' it cuts the internet.15:58
inkyso xmpp clients can't receive notifications from the server.15:58
inkyservers send notifications to apple, apple sends to xmpp client.15:59
kivaI liked lot Symbian S80 in Nokia 9500. I used irc-client and web-browser 20 years ago with it.16:03
inkyso apple gets notifications, and apple if even can't read those, knows about when you get notifications.16:05
inkyand of course, of course your activity. but that's not news, you get notifications or not, your activity - when you use which app are known to apple.16:05
kivabtw...Maemo 1.0 was released June 25th 2005. Maemo 20th Anniversary Leste version with some app recompile from 2005?16:13
inkygood idea. (: i revived lots of old apps, maybe i'll find some. just i need to rebuild those for daedalus first, but i can't upgrade neither d4 nor pp to it, plus so much other work. if i knew there is a pp version based on daedalus, i would backup my home, and dd the new image.16:48
inkyand pp kernel is so old... it's 6.1, i pinged the maintainer twice, it is only needed basically to pull and rebuild.16:49
inkybut eh.16:49
Wizzupit's never really as simple as pull and rebuild I don't think16:53
Wizzupdid you do the pull and rebuild to confirm that this is the case?16:53
sicelokiva: +1 for S80. I had 9300i17:16
kivainky, sadly repository.maemo.org is down..there was some app sources at least for Maemo 1.1.17:21
kivasicelo, that smaller 9300i was so cute compared to bigger 9500. I think if somebody make 4G upgraded motherboard to run Leste in them, it will sold well.17:27
inkykiva, i had this article, let me see which i leested there https://leste.maemo.org/Development/Porting_Packages17:28
inkyoh yes, repository.maemo.org... it is down? for always?17:28
kivawho have access to server hardware knows when it coming up.17:40
