| metala | one of the homework assignments was to make a minimal init and run it as pid1 | 19:56 |
| plasma41 | metala: Neat, thanks | 19:58 |
| hacksenwerk | Hi. Who does create the arm images? | 19:59 |
| yeti | #devuan-arm may know... | 20:00 |
| plasma41 | hacksenwerk: Last I checked (could have changed since then) that position is vacant. The tooling for building arm images is at https://git.devuan.org/devuan-sdk/arm-sdk if you'd like to try your hand at it. | 20:02 |
| hacksenwerk | yeti: oh yeah right I forgot that channel exists thx | 20:03 |
| hacksenwerk | plasma41: oh? | 20:03 |
| fsmithred | arm images are created by the community, not official devuan. | 20:07 |
| fsmithred | we host the images | 20:07 |
| hacksenwerk | fsmithred: I know | 20:07 |
| systemdlete | I recall a program I used to use that rendered html from text and v.v. It was a desktop program with 2 windows. One side had the html source and the other the rendering of the source. You could edit the html text and it would render it in the other side, or you could use the controls on the other side, and it would update the html source on the other. Something like that (my memmory is hazy now) | 23:39 |
| systemdlete | I'm getting frustrated with elog's built-in gui, which is nice but is a bit stubborn, and the window area is very short, so I can only see part of what I am working on. | 23:40 |
| systemdlete | (elog is a journaling tool I use to keep notes on things... you know, the stuff you guys tell me and then I forget a few weeks later?) | 23:41 |
| systemdlete | (no relation whatsoever to elogind) | 23:41 |
| systemdlete | Does anyone recall this program or something like it? Is there any tool today that does that, simply, without needing to work in some confined web interface? | 23:42 |
| systemdlete | I think open office can do some of this, but I am not sure how to get to that (maybe a plug-in or something in writer?) | 23:42 |
| systemdlete | I'd prefer to stay away from pageedit because it wants me to install avahi, no thanks. | 23:44 |
| systemdlete | maybe... "pageview?" | 23:49 |
| systemdlete | btw, it doesn't have to be a desktop program as long as it offers a large enough canvas area. It was just the one I was thinking of, way back when. | 23:51 |
