hacksenwerkHi. Can I install https://arm-files.devuan.org/Devuan-Arm64-Installer/chimaera/netinstall-arm64.iso on my headless pi, via ssh, so i can configure a smaller system?11:19
hacksenwerkAlso I would like to have full disk encryption, or at least everything but /boot11:32
gnarfacei think there are rpi specific images up there somewhere11:40
gnarfacethey do have ssh not sure about encryption11:41
hacksenwerkgnarface: You mean these: https://arm-files.devuan.org/Devuan-Arm64-Installer/chimaera/12:14
gnarfacehacksenwerk: i mean these https://arm-files.devuan.org/RaspberryPi%20Latest%20Builds/12:15
gnarfaceand these https://arm-files.devuan.org/RaspberryPi%20Signed%20Releases/12:15
gnarfacei think there's a bug with regards to the ssh thing in earlier versions, beware of that12:16
hacksenwerkWell yeah I use rpi-devuan-daedalus-5.18.19-armel-ext4-2023-01-15 at the moment.12:16
gnarfaceoh, you know all this already, so why are you asking, i'm confused?12:16
gnarfacei don't think the regular chimera arm64 builds work on the rpi hardware, no12:17
hacksenwerkBut I thought of running the devuan installer to install devuan-arm on the pi. With the partition manager and so on.12:17
gnarfacethe rpi hardware is special and needs some unique stuff12:17
gnarfacei'm not clear on specifics12:17
gnarfacebut i think it's possible the work just hasn't been done to make a d-i style installer with the rpi support12:18
hacksenwerkIn the installer you can choose to create an encrypted lvm12:18
hacksenwerkgnarface: ok. :)12:18
gnarfacesomeone else in here knows for sure12:19
hacksenwerkIt is just that I miss those minimal installation. I had to remove a lot of packages yesterday and some wanted to take some important packages with them, becuase they were somehow bound to it (like atril or firefox is bound to xfce on automated xfce install)12:20
hacksenwerkand sadly i removed by that accidentaly the network-manager so i couldn't connect to that headless pi after reboot12:21
hacksenwerklol12:21
hacksenwerkI've found this about LUKS on Raspberry Pi, but it is for Raspberry Pi OS running on a sd card: https://rr-developer.github.io/LUKS-on-Raspberry-Pi/12:59
