ham5urgIs there a SBC where I can compile u-boot by myself and without any blob?00:31
c0rneliuspretty much any sbc if you know what ur doing. depends on the SoC, but in general you'll need either to compile arm trusted firmware and put it in place or if using amlogic know how to use boot fips.00:34
c0rneliuswhat are you wanting to compile uboot for exactly?00:34
ham5urg_c0rnelius, I would like to buy a low-energy sbc. Maybe a Banana Pi Allwinner A64 Bord or a cheaper Pine A64.00:59
ham5urg_But I would like to compile u-boot by myself. I took at their readmes. Behaves similar to an uefi system.01:00
ham5urg_As long as I can boot devuan on it, and it wont drain much watt, I don't care much.01:02
steevif u-boot has the support, you can compile the u-boot yourself, yes01:04
ham5urg_but I was reading much of some binaries needed by uboot. And I saw the tool bitmain in the sources. maybe it will load some binaries from the vendor to finish it's job. I'm bit unsure what to buy to not get binaries into the bootloader.01:05
ham5urg_I've done this today to find any binaries I don't know about: https://paste.debian.net/1226074/01:14
c0rneliusWell if its supported by mainline u-boot it should be straight forward. Just need the correct packages installed to compile it. Allwinner in my experience is the easiest to compile and flash.01:14
ham5urg_Looks like all pine sbc are out of stock except quartz64.01:58
ham5urg_Maybe a banana pi is a easier choice.01:58
hyrc_your priority is blobless?03:05
