RubyBox is an easy to use frontend for DosBox emulator. It allows you to add, categorize, setup and launch your dos applications. You can store your settings to an online database for others to use. You can also use this database to import good settings for your applications. RubyBox also features a downloader for freeware applications and games.

To add an application, press *New*. Enter the application name, select the executable and press *Save*. Application appears on your application list. You can then press *Run* to run it. You can also use the *Application scan* to scan applications from your memory cards.

To fine tune performance, select the application and press *Settings*. You return to the settings view. If you want to change a setting, click on the checkbox and change the value of the setting. Only checked settings are changed from the default values you see. You can also categorize your applications in this view. Press *Save* to commit the changes.

To remove an application, select the application and press *Remove*.

For rest of the features you need to be online and have an online account. To create an account, select *Preferences* from the menu. Enter server address and type in your nickname. Press *OK*. Rest of the buttons should become active.

To import settings, select an application and press *Import*. If someone has exported settings for that application, you should get a list of applications to choose from. If not, try changing the applications name to only part of the full name and try again. If import still fails, chances are there are no settings for that application.

If you have found good settings for some application, use the export feature. Make sure the application's name is as correct as possible before exporting it. Select the application you want to export and press *Export*. You can use export several times. It will update the settings you have exported.

To download applications and games, press the *Download* button. Press *Update list* to update the list of available applications. Then select the directory you want to store the downloaded applications to. Select the applications you want to download and press *Download*. It should then download and extract it to the directory you chose and add it to application list. You can then try to use the import feature to check if there are settings for it or change the settings manually.

Have fun!
