Cautiously, you approach the tiny man who is standing somewhat lost in the
corridor. Even more cautiously he looks at you. Obviously he's wondering
if you're a danger or merely an unexpected event in the darkness of this
strange place, with its humid, but cold air.

You try to smile, in order to reduce his fear. "Hello", the man whispers. It
seems he has not spoken for a long time. "Who are you? What do you want?" he
asks. You explain why you have entered the depths of the sewers and tell him
about your quest.

The tiny man slowly nods. "I think you have come to a good place to start.
You surely have noticed all these bookshelves, and perhaps you already met
my master, the librarian." The man twitches nervously at the sleeves of his
shirt. "I am his, well, assistant. He shares many of his secrets with me. I
know much about rare books." He looks around hectically, then comes near to
your face.

"You know", he whispers, "it is no pleasure to work for the librarian. He's
selfish and treats me like a slave. So I may help you, just to get back at
him." For a second, he grins. "Listen:"
